Monthly Archives: October 2011

Ghosts come in all shapes and sizes.  This one, for instance, is a couple light years tall. Science Fiction-Horror is a very specialized genre…kind of tempting, now that I think about it. From NASA’s APOD:

More Sunday #writing humor, this time from Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley. There are harsh critics out there.

More #writing humor from Charles Schultz and Snoopy. You know, Snoopy isn’t a bad writer at all.

The picture above and this link both lead to a short gallery of my #photography.  It’s amateur, but I’ve used it to generate inspiration for my writing.  Please enjoy, and feel free to leave questions or comments (either here or on the Weathered Journal page).

#scifi #writing inspiration. An impressive view of some of Saturn’s moons through the planet’s rings. This pic os so much more impressive than most of what Hollywood has put out.

A quick post I put together this morning about two great sites for writer submissions.  If you’ve been writing for a while you probably already know of them, but if you’re looking for publications to submit your creative work to, or contests to enter, check this out.

Two Great Resources for the Starving #Writer: #Contests and #Writing Submissions that Pay (some of them)

This is hysterical! More #writing humor Charles Schultz and Peanuts. I hope to never get this kind of rejection letter. Thank you, Plan B.

With November almost here, I put down a few thoughts on National Novel Writing Month.

#SciFi #writing inspiration. I love natural mysteries, especially in space. Science has no good explanations on how the Waterfall Nebula was created. Sounds like a job for a science fiction writer.
